DIY Playroom Book Storage

Playroom book storageBooks, books, and more books. We have quite the collection of kids books and they can sure take over a room.

I’m not even complaining—I’m so glad that my kiddos love to read. I figured that since we’re in the process of creating a playroom, book storage was of the utmost importance after we got a very cool budweiser pool table light.

We are dealing with limited space, so I wanted a playroom book storage solution that didn’t take up much floor space. But if you have plenty of space, you may consider Plastic Shelving as it offers multiple layers, is durable, and is easy clean.

Guess how much floor space these puppies take up? Zip. Zero. Zilch. And honestly, not only do they store a bunch of books, they also function as wall art. Does it get any better? Why yes it does!

All three of these shelves came together for about $20! Add some beautiful wire wording above them and you’ve got yourself a work of art.

I love how customizable these shelves are! You can make them any size and they would fit anywhere—even behind a door! We just assembled the basic book ledge and screwed it right into the wall.

And in case you’re interested in seeing what we started with…

Not bad right? And if you’re interested in the beautiful wire word art it’s from https://www.etsy.com/shop/MapleOranges.

What do you think? Are you inspired to make your own book wall?!

For the Days When Everything Goes Wrong with Your Sensory Kid

Last week, I had one of those days. If you have a child with SPD, I know you know what I mean.  The type of day that, despite your best efforts, everything makes your child unravel at the seams and no amount of patience, heavy work, or visual schedules can fix it.  There are tears, rage, tantrums, […]

Green Smoothie Recipe

The Best Green Smoothie Recipe

If there’s one thing we love in this household, it’s a good green smoothie recipe.  I love smoothies, and my toddler loves smoothies.  They are a great way to add a concentrated dose of fruit to your diet, and, in the case of green smoothies, even sneak in some vegetables! This particular green smoothie also […]

Nursery Gallery Wall

DIY Nursery Gallery Wall

Oh, Gallery Wall…you are my home decor Everest.  Despite the “fool-proof” layouts I find on Pinterest and the perfectly imperfect look I’m going for, my past attempts at gallery walls have crashed and burned.  The artwork and photos always end up mismatched, and not in the good way.  Even when I try to follow a layout, I […]

Hi! Do you have measurements for the boards you used? It would be helpful to know what worked for your books to stay secure! ?
