DIY Playroom Book Storage

Playroom book storageBooks, books, and more books. We have quite the collection of kids books and they can sure take over a room.

I’m not even complaining—I’m so glad that my kiddos love to read. I figured that since we’re in the process of creating a playroom, book storage was of the utmost importance.

We are dealing with limited space, so I wanted a playroom book storage solution that didn’t take up much floor space.

Guess how much floor space these puppies take up? Zip. Zero. Zilch. And honestly, not only do they store a bunch of books, they also function as wall art. Does it get any better? Why yes it does!

All three of these shelves came together for about $20! Add some beautiful wire wording above them and you’ve got yourself a work of art.

I love how customizable these shelves are! You can make them any size and they would fit anywhere—even behind a door! We just assembled the basic book ledge and screwed it right into the wall.

And in case you’re interested in seeing what we started with…

Not bad right? And if you’re interested in the beautiful wire word art it’s from https://www.etsy.com/shop/MapleOranges.

What do you think? Are you inspired to make your own book wall?!

Hi! Do you have measurements for the boards you used? It would be helpful to know what worked for your books to stay secure! ?
