Easy Farmhouse Fall Porch

Am I the only one who’s been obsessed with fall porches lately?! The weather has been so beautiful here lately that we’ve spent a lot of time enjoying our front porch.

Naturally, I needed to dress it up for the season, but I needed it to be a quick and affordable project. Thanks to some quick DIYs and some major fall pillow deals, it came through in no time.

Farmhouse fall porch

A super-easy diy that I’ve loved for fall is to take the seat off of an old chair, and plunk a fresh pot of mums in it. Instant fall. Now our front door is ready to greet visitors.

Just to the right of our front door is the small bistro set that my daughter and I love to eat breakfast and lunch at every day when the weather is nice.

We spiffed up the space with a fall sign and some really cute fall pillows. Guys, you won’t even believe the score that these pillows were—4 pillow covers for $17!! They could not get in my cart fast enough and I think they really complete the space.

Here are the other two pillows that came in the set. I used them to make our outdoor couch extra comfy and I think they really pop against the plaid pillow covers I already had.

So there you have it—my fall porch only set me back about $22! $5 for some fresh mums, and then that amazing 4 pack of pillow covers.

Have you guys decorated your porch for fall yet?! I’d love to hear about any great tips and tricks you might have!!

How To Respond When People Don’t “See” Your Child’s Disability

When people see my 2-year-old-daughter thrashing around and screaming in the grocery store, it’s easier to assume that I’m a bad mother, not that my child’s nervous system is glitching out and telling her the flickering fluorescent light is a sign of the impending apocalypse.  Its easier to assume that I’m pandering to her when […]
